New York, NY, July, 2007 – The Tri County Council of Southern Maryland invites President of Retensa, employee retention expert, Chason Hecht to present on the challenges facing the Land and Community Development industries. He will discuss the effects the changing workforce has had on the industry and provide construction managers and directors with statistical trends regarding the current, and future, state of construction.
Over the last 10 years the number of workers employed in the construction industry has steadily decreased, yet the industry itself continues to grow. Employers are having difficulty finding enough skilled workers to fill new jobs and replace the retiring workforce. Mr. Hecht will discuss the state of the industry, the effect of turnover, and what can be expected going forward. In order to compete for today’s labor pool, construction managers will need to understand why their employees join, what will make them stay, and ultimately why they leave. The seminar will educate leading contractors on the tools to effectively engage and retain their best on-site and off-site workers.
