Workshop will address how real-world tools and techniques can improve retention rates among diverse job seeking populations.
Columbia, MD, October 18, 2006 – Maryland Institute for Employment and Training Professionals (MIETP) has invited Retensa to build a training workshop program on Creating Retention Environment. Attendees of the Workshops are Job Developers, Vocational Counselors, and Employment Trainers responsible for placing at-risk employees and retaining them at their placed job sites. Director of Retensa, Carol Ann Caccioppoli will focus on tools to retain the job seeker long-term.
Retensa aims to help attendees identify the needs of the job seeker as well as the employer, through a series of interactive exercises by experts and leaders in the field. This workshop will help attendees capture job seeker perceptions and opinions to predict tenure; it will demonstrate how to establish “Turnover Profiles” to reduce job seeker turnover, and attendees will learn how to work with difficult or high-turnover employers.
The Maryland Institute for Employment and Training Professionals (MIETP) provides staff development and networking opportunities for professionals in the workforce development field. Based in Columbia, Maryland, MIETP serves staff primarily from organizations such as local Workforce Investment Areas, the Employment Service, and various non-profits that help move people into the workforce.
